of crafting and innovating ice biscuits

Under the leadership of Jos Rooswinkel, the Rooswinkel family has been involved in various ventures, including meat production, vegetable processing, bakery production, and catering distribution.
In 1987, the family's entrepreneurial spirit led to the establishment
of World Cones, dedicated to producing and advancing ice cream cones and waffles. From 2007 to 2008, Roofoods International Group,
a holding company founded to control World Cones among other companies and guided by Edwin Rooswinkel, strategically reinforced
its position in the bakery industry through acquisitions
and bought Bakery World.
Bakery World's Hungarian facility has a rich history dating back to the 19th century.
It all began in 1872 with the founding of Auer GmbH. Austria, which marked the start of our journey. Building upon this legacy, the Hungarian counterpart, Auer Kft., was established in 1989. The year 1998 was a significant milestone with our integration into the esteemed Continental Bakeries Group.
Continuing on our path, a major turning point came in 2007 when the company became part of the Roofoods International Group, paving the way for sustained growth and success.
By 2023, Bakery World stands independently as a formidable presence in the bakery and ice biscuit market, marked by its unwavering commitment to excellence.
Rootvin - Our Sister Company
Rootvin, founded in 1993 in the Czech Republic, quickly formed
a partnership with World Cones. By 1995, Rootvin had evolved into
a fully-fledged manufacturing entity, boasting a state-of-the-art facility compliant with EU standards. From 2008 to 2023, Rootvin has been
an integral part of the Roofoods International Group.
In close collaboration with Huhtamaki, Rootvin leads the charge
in research and development, delivering cutting-edge products, machinery, and technologies to clients worldwide.
Rootvin specializes in a diverse range of products, from cones and bowls to tubes and flat wafers, meeting various market demands.
Its global presence is further enhanced through partnerships
with Bakery World.
